I work for a large television broadcaster; we're investigating the practices of illegal money lenders. If you or someone you know is having problems with a loan shark, we want to hear from you. Do you know of a shark operating in your area? Would you like to work with us to expose them? Maybe someone you know is in a desperate situation with a shark and is looking for a way out.
We can pay a contribution fee to those that agree to take part or who provide information that helps us expose a shark. Your identity will not be revealed and all enquiries will be treated in the strictest confidence.

Firefly Productions is making a sensitive and intelligent documentary series for Channel 4 about families experiencing financial upheaval who are looking for ways to cope.
The purpose of the series is to encourage a wider public understanding of the changes forced on families going through financial difficulties and to show how they can hopefully find a way out of their situation.
We are particularly interested in talking to families with children still living at home about how debt and/or sudden financial change can affect home and family life.
We are making two observational films. Each film will follow one family's journey over several months and will be filmed by one director using a small camera. These films are sympathetic and understanding portraits of families facing change.

DO YOU HIDE YOUR DEBTS?
I'm currently looking for case studies for a feature I'm writing for Red magazine about women who keep financial secrets from their partners.I'm looking for three women aged between 25-45:
- One who fibs to her partner about how much she spends on clothes, her credit card bills and the extent of her debts.
- Another who has a secret 'rainy day' fund, just in case she ever needs to leave (not that she's necessarily planning too, but just in case)
- And another who hasn't been completely honest about a windfall or payrise she's received.
I'd also be interested in hearing from anyone who's partner has kept financial secrets from them. This can be something you're doing now or something you did in the past. All it would involve is chatting to me over the phone about why you didn't/don't tell the truth about your finances, how it has affected your relationship, how it makes you feel etc etc.
Red would also like a photo of each person to be printed in the magazine - so you'll need to be happy to be identified. The rest of the feature is going to be looking into why people keep financial secrets, how it can damage your relationship and what you can do to fix it.

BBC2 is making a sensitive and intelligent six part observational documentary series about people living with compulsive or addictive patterns of behaviour. The films will be touching human stories of people coping with behaviour they cannot control, rather than a 'scientific' series aiming to explain psychological conditions. We are looking for people to talk about their lives in their own words and without being labeled by professionals or 'experts'. These may include people who are unable to stop themselves from shopping yet never unwrap their goods; or people who have an irresistible urge to gamble in spite of its destructive consequences; or people who take extreme risks that get them into uncontrollable debt.
